BJP's focus during Delhi elections: Since the main thrust of BJP's campaign in Delhi assembly polls is on the alleged wrongdoings of the decade-long AAP government, its state unit has put all seriousness into these efforts. BJP's state unit office on Pant Marg has a dedicated 'Aarop Vibhaag' (allegations section) - a big room full of documents on the AAP government. A team of BJP workers man this department. The party spokespersons and office-bearers (both national and state-level) focus primarily on where Arvind Kejriwal and his team faltered in the last 10 years.

Having taken over as new and renewable energy secretary only three months ago, 1993- batch IAS officer Prashant Kumar Singh is now set to move to Manipur as chief secretary. The sudden turn of events happened after incumbent Vineet Joshi was named higher education secretary last month. However, Joshi is yet to join as he is waiting for his successor to take charge in the troubled state.

Union minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan on Tuesday hosted a special lunch at the party’s Patna office on Makar Sankranti. All top NDA leaders from Bihar, including chief minister Nitish Kumar, were invited for the event. However, when the CM reached the venue, Paswan wasn’t available. Kumar met LJP leaders and left in a few minutes. Later, Paswan claimed that since he was offering prayers when the CM arrived, he couldn’t receive him.
