Congress’ discomfort with Shashi Tharoor matches with BJP’s unease with Varun Gandhi. “So, why do the two parties not ink a Tharoor-Gandhi swap deal to find harmony for all concerned,” goes the joke.

Indian Foreign Service officers, unlike their colleagues in IAS, do not venture into staterun institutes post-retirement. But there are few exceptions. The “expert” came up with a special under vest for woman which when touched by an eveteaser will give him an electric shock. The idea was shelved when the “expert” had no answer to the query: “What if the woman wearing the vest gets an electric shock?”
