Bengal BJP will hold its ‘chintan shivir’ in Fort Raichak, a riverside luxury resort on the outskirts of Kolkata. The venue is a steep upgrade from the previous year’s ‘Trishna Bhavan’, a community hall in Howrah. Arrangements have been made for 50 members who will have restricted entry and exit to the event. State party leaders are wondering aloud if the leadership is mixing business with pleasure!

Missing Gurus From Haryana

While teachers were felicitated by the President last week on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, there were none from Haryana. Reason: The state did not nominate any of its teachers for the national award despite several reminders from the Centre. West Bengal is learnt to have made it at the last minute, as late as the 1st of September.
