Third eye: Bizarre twist to AAP-BJP drama

AAP-BJP drama on government formation saw yet another bizarre twist with three AAP MLAs reportedly going missing for a few hours on Sunday. Apparently, the MLAs suddenly took off to Goa without the party’s knowledge sparking off rumours that they could defect. Turns out AAP leaders convinced at least two of them to drop their plan and return home. Phew!

Bardhan cuts cake early

The other day, the CPI HQ in New Delhi, Ajoy Bhavan, witnessed a cake-cutting ceremony. The CPI national council members got a special cake to make their veteran and former party boss AB Bardhan cut it to mark his 90th birthday. Although Bardhan’s B’day is on September 25, the cake-cutting was advanced to time it with the council meeting.
