Third eye: A political party of his own and focus on Priyanka's Himachal faux pas

A political party of his own!: Former BJP leader Shankersinh Vaghela seems to have found some relevance in the electoral politics of Gujarat after all but floating a new political party 'Praja Shakti Democratic Party'. Vaghela announced that his party will put up candidates in the forthcoming local bodies' polls. Vaghela's outfit, according to observers, would cut into anti-BJP votes, helping the ruling party in the process. Vaghela had met Union home minister Amit Shah in August and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav right after, triggering off a major buzz but nothing seems to have fructified there.

Focus on Priyanka's Himachal faux pas: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra created a faux pas in her maiden speech in the Lok Sabha when she criticised the state of affairs in Himachal Pradesh, astate where Congress is in power. Amused by this, BJP leaders, who did not find any other gaffe in her speech to use against her, focused on the HP aspect. What surprised a few is that she made this mistake despite visiting the state often as she owns a house there and had also campaigned for the party there during the last assembly elections.
