There will be no power problem this summer: Haryana government
The Haryana government today said people would not face problems regarding electricity supply this summer as all the power plants in the state were functioning properly.

At present, the demand for power in the state is around 9,345 MW and power utilities were meeting this demand, state's Power Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said in a release.
He said that state would get 1,424 MW electricity from Adani Power (Gujarat) as per an agreement signed with it.
Moreover, all the power plants of Yamunagar, Jhajjar, Khedar are running successfully.
He said the government is ready to supply round the clock power supply even to the villages, provided the line losses are reduced to less than 25 per cent.
The state government has set up eight special police stations to check power theft in the state.
To curb power theft, PVC pipes will be installed in villages for which the state government has earmarked fund of Rs 500 crore.
"This experiment was done in two villages of district Hisar where the line loses were about 60 per cent. There it proved successful and the line losses were reduced drastically," he added.
Meanwhile, Yadav said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will be Chief Guest at the Congress rally at Meerpur in district Rewari on April 25.
The Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stone of a number of projects near the rally site on that day.
Hooda will also unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Yadav added.
