NEW DELHI: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today expressed apprehensions that there may be 50 per cent reduction in Delhi government's tax collection due to demonetisation of high-value currency notes.

Sisodia, who also holds finance portfolio, said there is no business in the city's markets and if it persists, it will be hard to pay salaries of government employees.

"Tax collection can be 50% low this month as there is no business in Delhi markets. If so, it would b hard to pay salaries of govt employees," he tweeted.
