There is nothing political in my meeting with Ajmal: Tarun Gogoi

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister, Tarun Gogoi clarified that there is nothing political in his meeting with perfume baron and chief of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Badruddin Ajmal.



Ajmal met Gogoi on Friday and there was speculation that new political equation is brewing in Assam. Gogoi said the meeting was merely an official one and nothing more should be read between the lines.



Gogoi said Ajmal and his group met him at his Official residence on Friday to submit a memorandum concerning Doubtful-Voter, national registrar of citizens and other issues.
