There are no issues on nuclear liability: Salman Khurshid

NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid today said there are no issues on nuclear liability and the matter need to be discussed within the "existing Indian legislation".
"There are no issues on (nuclear) liability. The law is very clear, we have passed a law in Parliament. The regulations have been drawn up. Within the four corners of the law and the regulations of the country, whether it's the Americans or the Russians or anybody else, they need to take the dialogue further within the existing legislation," Khurshid told reporters at the sidelines of a function here.
While identifying the nuclear liability law as a major challenge in implementing the historic India-US civilian nuclear deal, a top US official few days back had said India should consult International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) on its nuclear liability law as a mean to ensure the objective.
When asked about the outcome of the recently ended ASEAN-India Summit, Khurshid said, "There are far reaching road maps for the future for next 10 years for India and ASEAN. This basically would look for better connectivity between India and ASEAN."
