Sunil Jallan, Chairman, NETA said, “Tea Board India has recognised “mjunction” to set-up a new tea auction platform at Jorhat. mjunction is India’s largest B2B eCommerce company. It also runs the world’s largest eMarketplace for steel. mjunction is a 50:50 venture promoted by SAIL and Tata Steel.”
Jallan added, “All tea buyers and tea producers having valid TMCO (Tea (Marketing) and Control Order) can register.
Camps will be organised by mjunction at Dibrugarh on January 22 and at Jorhat on January 23. This new tea auction centre at Jorhat will be technically different from the existing tea auction centres at Guwahati, Siliguri, Japaiguri, Coimbatore, Coonoor and Kochi.
Jallan said, “It is expected that the new auction centre will start functioning from the coming tea season”.
