‘That part of J&K belongs to us’: CM Omar Abdullah’s Independence Day message on PoK, democracy

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah delivered Independence Day message from Srinagar, saying the part of Jammu and Kashmir across the Line of Control ‘belongs to us’ and that its people are considered their own. Looking at conditions across the LoC, Abdullah said people there could one day seek to rejoin Jammu and Kashmir. He also highlighted the reservation of seats for representatives from that region in the J&K Legislative Assembly.
