Thai company Srithai Superware to invest Rs 57 crore in Gujarat

Thai based Srithai Superware a women empowerment company that works to make the women more self-reliant and self dependent, to invest Rs 57 crore in Gujarat to set up a production unit.

AHMEDABAD: Thailand based Srithai Superware, maker of crockery and home storage products out of pure melamine will set up a production unit at Sanand in Gujarat. The investment is pegged at Rs 57 crore.

As per the officials, it also plans to set up three additional facilities over the next 10 years. “About Rs 229 crore would be spend in next 10 years for capacity addition” said Mr Mita Chaudhury, country manager India, Srithai Superware adding that the company has a strong base in Indian market and the new facility would only strengthen its prospects of those who are associated with its company.

Srithai Superware is a women empowerment company and it works to make the women more self-reliant and self dependent by generating opportunities for them. Srithai Superware has become popular amongst many households. Company’s future expansion strategy, is part of its plans to export the product to South-Asian Countries once the Indian production units becomes operational, she said.
