TERI Director General RK Pachauri influencing witnesses, cancel bail: Delhi Police tells HC
The Delhi Police submitted that Pachauri was evasive during interrogation and not cooperating with probe agencies, as it supported the alleged victim's plea that the bail granted to him should be cancelled.

The scientist was booked by the Delhi Police on February 18 on charges of sexual harassment at workplace, stalking and criminal intimidation. The police had interrogated Pachauri thrice at his residence on June 24, 26 and 28 in the presence of his lawyer.
The police field a status report of the investigation done so far in the court. The report was filed during the resumed hearing of an anticipatory bail application sought by Pachauri. Demanding immediate cancellation of Pachauri's bail, the Police demanded his custodial interrogation.
The police said that detailed custodial interrogation of Pachauri was required "to ascertain the true facts of the case as he is giving evasive replies to the questions." However, the court did not heed the plea and adjourned the matter for hearing on September 30. A lower court will on Friday hear Pachauri's plea seeking nod to rejoin Teri as director. At the time of grant of bail, one of the conditions levied by the court was that he will not enter Teri premises.
