Tension prevails after BJP, Tipra Motha supporters clash in Tripura

Tension is running high in Mandai area of Tripura on Monday following scuffle between ruling BJP and opposition Tipra Motha supporters.

Even a office of BJP was vandalized. Motha has denied its role in vandalising BJP, s office. The office was set a blaze on Sunday.

Motha said that it is a conspiracy to malign reputation of royal scion and Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarman.


Tripura minister for information Jirania Sushanta Choudhury on Monday visited the area and reviewed the situation. He met party workers.

He added, " violence and attack on each other are not the mandate of any political party rather pursuing a comprehensive development plan for local area development and fighting on ideology and strategies are the principle of politics. "

Scuffle had broken out during the joining programme of BJP. Over 50 workers from different political parties joined BJP.
