Teji Bachchan, the wife of legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and the mother of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, passed away at Lilawati Hospital on Friday.

MUMBAI: Teji Bachchan, the wife of legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and the mother of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, passed away at Lilawati Hospital on Friday.
Teji, 93, was suffering from prolonged illness and had been admitted to the hospital for the past one year.
In November, she was shifted to the ICU after her condition became serious.
Due to her illness, the Bachchans had kept the wedding of Abhishek and Aishwarya a low-key affair in April.
