New Delhi: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday filed his nomination from Raghopur assembly seat. He was accompanied by his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav and other RJD senior leaders. Tejashwi is the sitting MLA from the constituency. Five years ago Tejashwi had contested for the first time and during the filing of nomination papers his father Lalu Prasad was with him. “Not only is me but everyone in the party is feeling the absence of Lalu Ji,” said Tejashwi after the nomination.

Raghopur is Tejashwi’s family seat. His father has won from the seat twice while his mother Rabri Devi has won once. Tejashwi took a dig at Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for not contesting the election. “I challenge the chief minister to contest from any seat in Nalanda and I will defeat him from that seat,” said the RJD leader. He also reiterated his earlier announcement of providing 10 lakh jobs if he comes to power. In 2010, Tejashwi had defeated sitting MLA Satish Kumar by 22,000 votes. However, RJD was then in alliance with JDU.
