Tehelka case: NCW wants to hear from girl in person
NEW DELHI: The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Friday wrote to the woman at the centre of the snooping controversy to make her case for privacy in person.

The Commission has already received a letter allegedly written by the girl's father requesting NCW to not pursue a probe into this case as the last few days have been disturbing for his daughter.

Although the Commission has replied to the father asking him to make his plea in person, the NCW has now also approached the woman in question as it's not sure of the veracity of this father's letter.

"We can't take a call unless we hear from the girl, who actually is the affected party here," said NCW member Nirmala Samant Prabhavalkar. The NCW has already written to the Gujarat government seeking an explanation on the snooping controversy, but is yet to hear from them.
