Team India bat for Polio eradication

Joining the campaign for polio eradication in the country, Indian cricket team contributed to UNICEF's Bowl Out Polio campaign by presenting a bat, signed by the entire squad.

KANPUR: Joining the campaign for polio eradication in the country, Indian pacer R P Singh presented a bat, signed by the entire cricket squad, to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati here.

The bat was the team's contribution to UNICEF's 'Bowl Out Polio' campaign.

It had a message from the entire side, which read "We desire to see all the children of India running and playing. Let's bowl out polio."

After presenting the bat to Mayawati, R P Singh said, "We hope that all the parents and everyone associated with polio eradication programme would make this project a success. I hope to see polio bowled out from Uttar Pradesh soon."
