Teachers of government higher secondary schools in the union teritory would boycott invigilation work during the coming practical exams in the coming plus two public examinations to project their demands.

PONDICHERRY: Teachers of government higher secondary schools in the union teritory would boycott invigilation work during the coming practical exams in the coming plus two public examinations to project their demands.

S K Subramanian, president, Association of Lecturers told the media that the government should ensure that the Centre`s directives for promotion of the lecturers were implemented by appropriately amending the rules governing the post of Head Masters in government high schools.

Orders should be issued to fix 18 teaching hours per week for teachers who had completed 12 years of service. These and some other demands were pending disposal by the governent, he said.
