HYDERABAD: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), which is probing the cash-for-vote case involving TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, today began grilling another legislator of the party, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, in connection with the case.

According to an ACB official, Veeraiah appeared before the anti-graft agency at around 10.30 AM.

Veeraiah, a TDP MLA from Khammam district, was asked to appear before the ACB officials here today for questioning with regard to the cash-for-vote case.

Veeraiah said he will cooperate with ACB officials. The ACB had served him a notice earlier too. But on June 19, Veeraiah wrote to the agency saying he could not appear because of illness, and sought 10 days' time.

On May 31, Revanth Reddy and two others were arrested by ACB while allegedly paying a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to Elvis Stephenson, a nominated MLA, for supporting TDP nominee Vem Narendar Reddy in the next day's legislative council election.

They got bail from the High Court last month.
