TDP failed to fulfil electoral promises: AP Cong leader

Senior Congress leader and former minister Devineni Rajasekhar Nehru said the TDP govt has betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh.

VIJAYAWADA: Senior Congress leader and former minister Devineni Rajasekhar Nehru today said the TDP government has betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Nehru, on completion of one month of TDP-rule in the state, said TDP government has not taken any constructive decision on any issue and has betrayed people by not fulfilling its electoral promises.

"Chief Minister Chandranabu Naidu is conducting review meetings only for passing time and his ministers are making announcements on various subjects without any specific planning and programmes," he said at the press conference organised here by the city Congress.

On the issue of finalising the capital of Andhra Pradesh, the former minister said TDP ministers are giving vague statements on the prospect of cities to be made as the capital, but they do not have any clarity over it.

Nehru also alleged that BJP at the Centre failed to arrest inflation.
