GUWAHATI: With skirmishes along Assam and Nagaland border on the rise, Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi has sought prime minister Narendra Modi’s intervention and 10 companies of CRPF.

At least 11 people have been killed and over 10,000 have fled their homes in the Assam side of the border area of Uriamghat in Goalaghat district in the last couple of days. On Saturday, a bandh was called to protest the killing. “The personnel deployed should be directed to take action against the miscreants in an unbiased manner,” Gogoi wrote to the PM.
