GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi rallied behind Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid against allegations of graft charges levelled by India against corruption.

Gogoi said, “Will it be proper to crucify Salman Khurshid or anyone without any substantive evidence of guilt?’

Citing the case of former minister Ripun Bora in Assam, Gogoi said, “Though the CBI charge sheeted him on the basis of prima facie, the High Court and the Supreme Court exonerated him from all charges. No one can be termed guilty unless proved to the contrary.”
