NCP MP and the Daughter of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has expressed regret at long time aide Tariq Anwar quitting the party. Sule lamented that Anwar did not check with Pawar or her about the actual statement made by Pawar and said that they would have cleared the misgivings.

Sule said that Tariq Anwar had probably misunderstood Pawar’s interview as the latter had spoken in Marathi. “He should have spoken to either Pawar or me or someone else, as he was associated with our party since its inception. He should have talked to us at least once us before taking the decision.” Said sule.

The NCP MP said how the party had made Anwar a party MP for 12 years. “ It is really hurtful that a man whom we loved so much, trusted him so much, respected him as a leader for 20 years and that man believed such a false thing and resigned, it will always be a painful thing for us.”said Sule.

She added that if NCP Chief had indeed made the remarks then the party would have accepted it that it was their mistake. While wishing him all the best in his future endeavours, she however said, “ Tariq bhai is bar aap ne dil toh tod diya.”
