Targeted killings in Kashmir Valley: Manish Tewari warns of Taliban effect
LS member Manish Tewari released a letter a Kashmiri Pandit organisation had written to the Lt Governor of Kashmir, expressing the community's fear of becoming the target of terror outfits once again.

Congress Lok Sabha member Manish Tewari on Thursday linked this spurt in terror killing in the Valley to the aftermath of the Taliban capture of Afghanistan and voiced apprehensions on the Punjab front too. Tewari also released a letter a Kashmiri Pandit organisation had written to the Lt Governor of Kashmir, expressing the community's fear of becoming the target of terror outfits once again.
"This is the newly emboldened deep state of Pak, after establishing the Taliban in Afghanistan, instructing its proxies to exacerbate communal tensions in J&K. I would not be surprised if Punjab is next given the amount of small arms that have been droned into the state since Nov-2019," tweeted Tewari.
Releasing a letter written by the Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti (KPSS) to L-G Manoj Sinha on 5, October, after the death of Srinagar-based Kashmiri Pandit Makhan Lal Bindroo, Tewari further said; "On 5th of October 2021, Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti had written to Lt Governor @ManojSinha warning of such targeted killings and asking for security but unfortunately they were not heard."
