Tamil Nadu's tests per million almost double the national average

Vellore has reported the second highest number of cases on Friday with 103 cases.
Chennai as well as three neighbouring districts have gone into a complete lockdown till the end of the month, owing to the spurt in cases once the government relaxed norms as part of Unlock 1.0. Chennai has seen 38,327 in all.
The four districts going into a complete lockdown till June 30 include the State capital Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpet and Kancheepuram, which are all among the worst affected districts.
The number of deaths on Friday stood at 41, which is marginally lower than Thursday's count of 48. As many as 666 people have succumbed to the infection in the State.
On Friday, 1630 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries in the State to 30,271.
