Tamil Nadu: Office bearers of Congress party in five districts resign

The meeting, presided over by Chandrasekara Moopanar, State Committee member, was attended by district presidents, former MLAs, former MPs and other office bearers.

KUMBAKONAM: Coming out in support of former Union Minister, G K Vasan who recently broke away from Congress, office bearers of the party in five delta districts, his stronghold, today resigned from the party.

A resolution to this effect was passed in the consultative meeting of the congress office bearers of Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Perambalur, Ariyalur districts here.

The meeting, presided over by Chandrasekara Moopanar, State Committee member, was attended by district presidents, former MLAs, former MPs and other office bearers.
