Jayalalithaa expressed grief over the deaths of 14 persons in different parts of the state including Kancheepuram districts between March 16 and May 8.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minster J Jayalalithaa today sanctioned a total relief of Rs 14 lakh to the families of persons killed in various accidents.

In a statement, Jayalalithaa expressed grief over the deaths of 14 persons in different parts of the state including Kancheepuram and Puthukottai districts between March 16 and May 8 this year.

The Chief Minister said she had directed that a sum of Rs one lakh be paid to each of the families of the 14 accident victims, adding, the relief will be sanctioned from Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
