Talks only way to resolve Kashmir dispute: J&K minister

Welcoming resumption of talks between India and Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said it is the only way forward to resolve outstanding issues between the countries.

SRINAGAR: Welcoming resumption of talks between India and Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said it is the only way forward to resolve outstanding issues between the countries.

"We welcome resumption of dialogue between India and Pakistan. People here have pinned their hopes on the dialogue process for resolution of Kashmir issue," Yaseen said, while addressing a public meeting in Budgam yesterday.

The state government has also taken several measures for establishing peace in the state. Most of the commitments made under the Common Minimum Programme have been implemented by the coalition government, he claimed.
