Take lesson from Bihar poll defeat: Jharkhand minister Saryu Roy
RANCHI: Jharkhand Minister and BJP leader Saryu Roy today suggested that his party should learn "a lesson" from the Bihar poll drubbing and it must be practical while assessing the reasons behind it.

"We must see the Bihar election results as a lesson for the BJP and we must be practical in our assessment," the Parliamentary, Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Minister said.

He was reacting to the BJP's rout by the Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance in the just concluded elections in the neighbouring state.

Senior BJP leader Prem Kataruka urged "some senior leaders" to keep their grievances confined within the party forum instead of criticising the top party leadership following the defeat.

"The senior leaders attacking the party leadership will only demoralise karyakartas (party activists). If they have any grievances, they can keep it within the party forum. Win and loss are part of elections," Kataruka, an ex-party secretary, said here in an obvious reference to the recent missive by some veteran BJP leaders.
