Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon arrives on state visit to India

KOCHI: Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, who is on a state visit to India from December 14-18, arrived here this evening.

The President and a delegation accompanying him will leave for New Delhi on December 16 after spending two days here.

Officials said no official engagements have been scheduled during his Kerala visit.


Ernakulam District Collector Mohammed Y Safirulla and top officials of the state government received the President and the delegation accompanying him at Kochi International Airport on their arrival from Colombo, a Kerala government spokesman said.

The Tajikistan President will leave for New Delhi on December 16 after visiting Kerala, he said.
