Taiwan unveils $5.6-bn economic stimulus package

TAIPEI: Taiwan announced an economic stimulus package on Thursday worth 5.6 billion US dollars less than four months since the president took office as growth flags and the stock market struggles.

The package, worth 180 billion Taiwan dollars, includes tax reforms, financial incentives for businesses and steps to boost investment and expand exports, according to a cabinet statement.
