Tainted 'Adarsh' Ashok Chavan may be back for new innings
Ashok Chavan, who had stepped down in the wake of Adarsh scam, is back in the reckoning, with Congress fielding him from Nanded Lok Sabha constituency.

Also, Chavan could soon make a comeback as the Maharashtra chief minister. Congress leaders said the assembly elections, which would be held in October this year, would be fought under the leadership of Ashok Chavan and if the Congress-NCP combine comes back to power in the state, Chavan could be made the chief minister.
A Congress leader said that there is a small possibility of Ashok Chavan replacing Prithviraj Chavan in June itself. When asked whether he would return as the CM, Ashok Chavan said: " In the Congress it is the high command that takes all such decisions. So I would not like to comment on it." When asked about his prospects, he told ET: “Well, politics is unpredictable, one can’t say when and what will happen."
