Tackling pollution: Delhi Minister invites suggestions from people
Mishra said he and Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain would look into the people's suggestions and promised that the city government would start working immediately on solutions being suggested.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra today invited suggestions from the people on ways to tackle the rising air pollution in the national capital.
In his appeal on online platform 'change.org', he said pollution levels in Delhi have reached a point of being a public "health emergency".
"I have seen multiple petitions and appeals on change.org to address Delhi's pollution crisis. This problem needs collective action from various state governments, central government and you (people)," he said.
Mishra said he and Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain would look into the people's suggestions and promised that the city government would start working immediately on solutions being suggested.
"We need to solve this crisis together," he said.
In the wake of thick level of smog engulfing the city, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had yesterday ordered shutting down of schools till Wednesday, banned all construction works for five days and directed temporary closure of a power plant.
Announcing a series of emergency measures, Kejriwal had said the Delhi government was also exploring the possibility of bringing back the odd-even road rationing scheme and appealed to the people to stay indoors and work from home, if possible, considering the alarming levels of pollution.
