GHAZIABAD: RLD chief and former Union minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh has alleged that there is a tacit understanding between Samajwadi Party and BJP, saying the two parties were working for each other's welfare.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi had praised Mulayam Singh at the Saharanpur rally, while during Parliamentary polls he used to make sarcastic comments against the SP chief and his party," Chaudhary said while speaking to reporters at the office of party MLA Sudesh Sharma in Modi Nagar on Thursday.

This changing scenario indicates that both the parties are working for the welfare of each other, he added.

On state assembly elections in 2017, the RLD chief said his party will contest the poll alone.

Singh was accompanied by RLD All India General Secretary Trilok Tyagi and other office bearers of the district.
