Swachh Bharat: NALCO to provide sanitation facilities in 150 schools

BHUBANESWAR: As part of its commitment to ensure cleanliness under Swachh Bharat campaign, Central public sector undertaking Nalco today decided to provide sanitation facilities in more than 150 schools in Odisha.

Apart from administering ' Swachhta Shapath' among the employees and cleanliness drive in its residential township and at Corporate Office, an awareness rally and street play were also organized on the occasion.

Besides, as part of Swachh Vidyalaya campaign, Nalco CMD Ansuman Das, also launched the construction of toilets at the nearby Damana Government High School and U.G.U.P School, at Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, NALCO launched construction of two more toilets at schools in periphery villages of its operating units at Damanjodi and one in Angul.

"Nalco has consented to be an active partner in this campaign launched by the Govt of India, and has identified more than 150 schools for providing sanitation facilities" Das said.

Similarly, 'Swachh Bharat' campaigns were also undertaken at company's units at Damanjodi and Angul.
