Swachh Bharat: Maneka Gandhi takes part in mission at railway station

PILIBHIT: Union Minister and local MP Maneka Gandhi today took part in the " Swachh Bharat" mission at the railway station here.

The Union Minister reached the station around 12.30 PM and also inspected the cleanliness there.

She took up the broom at a platform to symbolically take part in the campaign.

Senior Railways officials along with DRM C M Jindal and district officials including District Magistrate Om Narain Singh were present to receive the Union Minister.

Volunteers also presented a "nukkad natak" on cleanliness before the Union Minister.

Later Gandhi, offered floral tributes to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi at a programme organised by the Nagar Nigam where all those present took oath to join the campaign.

Yesterday, Gandhi had visited Bisalpur area for a road foundation-laying function where she had apprised people about the development works being undertaken by her in the constituency.
