Delhi Police undertook several initiatives to join in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Mission' by sweeping in and around their offices.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police undertook several initiatives to join in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Mission' by sweeping in and around their offices.

In South West Delhi, a special cleanliness drive was today organised, in line with Modi's vision of clean India. The police personnel of south-west DCP office participated in the drive and were addressed by DCP Suman Goyal about the importance of cleanliness.

'Swachhta Pledge' was administered to all the participants who vowed to commit toward cleanliness. The cleanliness drive was also been carried out in all 15 police stations, offices and Delhi Police residential complexes of South West District.

In South Delhi, a campaign was also launched for cleanliness of all police stations, police posts, police booths, police colonies, buildings and DCP Office Complex. All the senior officers and staff of south district rendered 'Shramdaan' continuously for two hours in their respect police stations and units from 7.15 am to 9.15 AM.

Thereafter, all the officers and staff took oath for rendering two hours 'Shramdaan' every week.
