Suspended BJP MP may support UPA

There is no danger to UPA government and will win trust vote in the Lok Sabha on July 22, asserted suspended BJP MP Somabhai Patel.

VADODARA: There is no danger to UPA government and will win trust vote in the Lok Sabha on July 22, asserted suspended BJP MP Somabhai Patel.

Talking to reporters on Phone, Patel criticised the senior BJP leader and prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani for joining hands with the communists to fulfil his dream of becoming the prime minister.

Patel said, "Advani should have waited for six months more for the next Loksabha polls".

He said he found it difficult to explain to the intelligent and influencial people when they asked him on Advani joining hands with communists.

It seems Patel was indicating that he would vote for UPA government.

Patel said that the BJP can not issue a whip to him as he is suspended from the party and that is why "I am free to take my own decision".

It will be perhaps for the first time, a suspended BJP MP, will vote against the wishes of the party.

When it was brought to his notice that BJP has revoked the suspension of Vallabh Kathiriya, party MP from Rajkot to which he replied "I am not Kathiriya".

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), a close ally of UPA government, is in touch with him, Patel said.
