Sushma Swaraj bumps into someone special at work today

NEW DELHI: Sushma Swaraj was likely having a busy day as usual, today, dealing with an obnoxious neighbouring country, replying to Indians in distress abroad and those in distress here with faulty refrigerators and smoke-spewing cars.

Suddenly, while near the gate of Parliament, the Union minister bumped into someone she least expected to see - her husband, Swaraj Kaushal. What did she do? She posted about it on Twitter, of course, with a picture of her and her husband holding hands. You won't get any coyness from Swaraj.

In case anyone got a wrong idea about what she meant when she said "together after many years", she went on to tweet this:

What she really meant is that her husband Kaushal has also been a Parliamentarian and they overlapped as Rajya Sabha MPs from 2000 to 2004.

He was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1998-2004. I was in Lok Sabha. Then I came to Rajya Sabha in 2000. /2

The minister's husband, Kaushal, has also been a governor of Mizoram from 1990 to 1993.

Kaushal is on Twitter too, but unlike his wife's tweets, only confirmed followers can see his tweets. And unlike her husband, Swaraj isn't coy about sharing lovey-dovey pictures on Twitter. Remember this one?
