Sushi Kumar Shinde leads delegation to US, Turkey

NEW DELHI: Power Minister Sushil kumar Shinde is leading a delegation to US and Turkey to meet investors and explore opportunities in the energy sector.

Shinde is leading a delegation of officials to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington in the US and Istanbul in Turkey from April 11 to April 21, an official statement said.

In Los Angeles, he would be meeting with investors and discuss opportunities in Indian Power sector.

In Washington DC, he would attend Round Table Meeting of chief executives of the various companies based at Washington organised by United States India Business Council ( USIDC), it said.

He would be visiting Istanbul, Turkey to attend and address the World Energy Leaders' Summit organised by World Energy Council. The summit would be attended by Energy Ministers of many countries.

India which currently generates over 1,87,000 MW of electricity plans to add 76,000 MW in the next five years
