The Supreme Court has stayed the Bombay high court order seeking attachment of the properties of senior Maharashtra Congress leader Kripashankar Singh and his family members in the disproportionate assets case against them.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has stayed the Bombay high court order seeking attachment of the properties of senior Maharashtra Congress leader Kripashankar Singh and his family members in the disproportionate assets case against them.

The court, however, refused to put on hold the investigations against him and his family members in the case. "Prima facie at first flash it (allegation against the politician) looks correct so no stay on the proceedings," said a SC bench on Tuesday. It also directed the Mumbai Police to collect documentary evidences regarding all properties of the congress leader.
