Supreme Court panel indicts ex-CBI chief Ranjit Sinha of trying to influence coal scam probe
"The committee has found that Sinha met the accused and this influenced his decisions," Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi told the court.

"The committee has found that Sinha met the accused and this influenced his decisions," Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi told the court on Tuesday.
He, however, opposed registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Sinha, saying all of CBI’s decisions in the case have since been vetted by the chief vigilance commissioner.
Common Cause, an NGO, however sought an investigation by a special investigation team into Sinha’s conduct and immediate registration of an FIR against him.
The court will now decide the next course of action against Sinha.
