Supreme Court again denies interim bail to Unitech’s Sanjay Chandra
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday again refused to release Unitech MD Sanjay Chandra on an interim bail and adjourned his plea for further hearing. The court permitted amicus curiae Pawanshree Aggarwal to open a portal for home-buyers to claim their dues or possession of flats from Unitech.

The dues owed to home-buyers and also others seeking possession of their flats and plots would be collected and submitted to the court before the court takes a call on his bail.

Chandra's lawyer Abhimanyu Bhandari again sought bail from a three-judge bench led by Chief Justice Dipak Misra but his plea was rejected. He said 95 per cent of people want their flats. He offered to come up with a timeline of six months to hand over possession of the flats.
