Support to Pranab does not mean support to Congress: Sitaram Yechuri

SOLAPUR: Senior CPM leader and politburo member Sitaram Yechuri today said here that his party's support to Pranab Mukherjee as the presidential candidate did not mean support to the Congress.

"Our support is to Pranab-da...our support is not to Congress," Yechuri, who is here to attend a meeting of CPM office-bearers from Maharashtra, said.

The UPA government had failed on all fronts, he alleged while talking to reporters before the meeting.

Yechuri addressed the session of the three-day state level meeting that started today, party sources said.
