Sunday ET: Sack minister Sriprakash Jaiswal, demands Samajwadi Party

SP leader Shivpal Yadav said that Jaiswal had been making irresponsible statements against the SP government in UP and should be removed from the Centre.

LUCKNOW: After Union steel minister Beni Prasad Verma, the Samajwadi Party has now targeted Union coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal and has demanded his resignation for making “irresponsible” statements about the party.

SP leader Shivpal Yadav said that Jaiswal had been making irresponsible statements against the SP government in UP and should be removed from the Centre. Yadav said Jaiswal had made baseless corruption charges against the SP government and should be forced to resign immediately.

He said if Jaiswal does not resign he should be sacked from the Union cabinet. Yadav said cabinet ministers should understand the relationship between the Centre and that the state and funds given by the Centre to Uttar Pradesh was the state’s rightful share.
