Mamata Banerjee has asked the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha to honour its commitment to abide by the recommendations of an expert panel on the proposed Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA).

KOLKATA: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has asked the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) to honour its commitment to abide by the recommendations of an expert panel on the proposed Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA).

GJM, which spearheads the movement for carving a state of Gorkhaland out of West Bengal, has rejected the recommendations of retired justice Shyamal Sen for inclusion of just 5 mouzas (administrative districts) in the proposed Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) Sabha.

GJM had demanded inclusion of 398 mouzas in GTA.
