Sunanda Pushkar's death: Police don't suspect foul play
The Delhi Police are not suspecting any foul play though, with senior officials suggesting Sunanda may have accidentally taken an overdose of anti-depressants along with alcohol.

Sunanda, who was found dead in a hotel suite in Delhi on Friday night, was cremated on Saturday evening. A final post-mortem report is awaited, but Dr Sudhir Gupta, who heads the forensic department at AIIMS where the post-mortem was conducted, said prima facie it was a case of unnatural death.
“It is a case of unnatural sudden death. The investigating agency is working on the case. There were certain injuries on the body, but we are unsure if these are related to her fatality. We will not comment on the injuries yet.
A holistic, detailed report will take two days to be prepared. Biological samples have been sent for toxicology analysis to rule out any poisoning,” Gupta said after conducting the post-mortem. Delhi Police officials said they will await the final post-mortem report before arriving at a conclusion on the cause of the death. Tharoor, who was himself admitted to AIIMS early on Saturday due to a “cardiac event” and is an acute diabetic, was later discharged.
