Sunanda Pushkar death: Shashi Tharoor attacks media

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor today attacked the media accusing it of being "self-appointed liars and scum."

"I'll speak to the police not to self-appointed liars and scum", he told media persons here when asked why his aides were not speaking the truth in the case relating to the mysterious death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.

He was asked the question in the context of a Delhi court today allowing the police to conduct a lie-detector test on three "suspects" in the case.

The three suspects are Tharoor's domestic help Narain Singh, driver Bajrangi and friend Sanjay Dewan.
