Sudhakar to take over as KSPCB Chairman in next few days
Sudhakar denied reports that he was unhappy at being offered a board position instead of ministership, and he considered the KSPCB role as a challenging one.

"I am not just a medical doctor by qualification, but have also done research work on environment issues. In my previous term as MLA, i have supervised the project on filling of tanks in Chikkaballapur district with treated water from Bengaluru to strengthen the groundwater table. I have also got solid waste management plants built," he told ET. He said he has practical knowledge in some of the environmental aspects including climate change and carbon credit, and hence, was technically qualified, too, to do justice to the new role.
Shantinagar MLA N.A.Haris (Congress), who has been appointed chairman of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) told this paper that he will abide by the party decision and take over as BMTC chairman after a few days.
Not all MLAs are happy at the Board positions they have been offered, and Jayanagar MLA Sowmya Reddy has declined the position of Parliamentary Secretary, and said she loved to see her dad, senior leader Ramalinga Reddy return as a minister.
